Three

Oh little boy, your growing too fast.
Disneys cars and Thomas the tank engine are your favourite things to play with and watch, but you also have a fondness for studio Ghibli and anything with animals and dinosaurs. You love running in the field and splashing stones in the river, sometimes we go on gruffalo hunts and sometimes we look for the big bad mouse. You can identify at least ten species of bird, a lot learnt whilst sat eating our breakfast at the table. But vultures and kestrels are your favourites and owls you say are spooky. Your a brilliant sous chef when it comes to baking cakes and biscuits. Your incredibly imaginative and listening to you playing with your cars is one of my favourite things.
You know your own mind and are so independent and adventurous but when your not happy about something or a bit unsure you come running back to me and sometimes even still hide behind my leg. You give the best cuddles and kisses and you are the funniest person I know.

Christmas

Christmas is my favourite.  Jimmy really got into it and kind of understood it this year, and it was so much more fun watching him taking everything in and getting excited ( even though he didn't really know what it was he was getting excited for)
It all starts of with the tree ( oh and the homemade advent calendar with a Thomas the tank engine DVD for the dairy allergic munchkin) and a trip to see Father Christmas on the train (tears and   clinging to me only lasted for a few minutes until jim clocked that the big guy was handing out presents). Shaky and slade were played everyday and sung along to all day everyday and jingle bells sung at least 10 times a day. The polar express was watched 4 times, elf 3, the muppets 5 and the grinch was declared as too scary. Long walks through the woods collecting holly and pine cones and always asking for snow. Shopping trips and playing in toy shops, gingerbread lattes and oat milk hot chocolates with tons if marshmallows. Running around Christmas markets and smooching under mistletoe. Visting the bear and hate in John Lewis and trying to construct snowballs with the fake snow.
Christmas Eve ( my favourite day of all) was perfect with muffins for breakfast, cooking and baking and icing biscuits for Father Christmas. A little walk in the woods before snuggling up by the fire to watch the snowman ( and the snowman and the snow dog ) before putting out biscuits, carrots and a glass of single malt and hanging our stockings.
Christmas Day was a mass of wrapping paper, toy cars, trains, books, DVDs, sweets and treats, cuddles, big smiles and a little bit of over excitement.

Already looking forward to the next one.
